Why Law Enforcement | I originally got into Law Enforcement by going on a ride along with my cousin who works for Portland PD. It was an eye opening experience filled with excitement and I knew it was something I wanted to do. I then volunteered for the Spokane Police Department for several years which furthered my desire to pursue this career and was eventually hired fill time in 2013. Almost 4 years later I still look forward to coming to work each and every day. |
First Arrest | I do not specifically remember my first arrest, but I believe it was just a warrant arrest during a noise complaint call. |
Best part of the job | The best part of my job is the unknown. You never know what you will be doing when you go to work or even how long you will be at work for. Each and every call is different and a learning experience. I learn something new every day and hope that continues for the rest of my career. |
Hobbies | Outside of work I enjoy to be outdoors. I do a lot of bird hunting, fishing, and hiking. I just got a german short-hair pointer and hope to train her to become a hunting dog, but I’d be happy if she just stopped eating the drywall. |
